Celiac Disease Awareness

The main purpose of this blog is to generate discussion and promote awareness for celiac disease (CD), and hopeful make life a little easier for everyone by sharing information. Check out www.celiac.org for more information about this autoimmune disease that effects 1:133 of which most have either been misdiagnosed or don't even know that they have it.

My daughter and I were recently diagnosed with CD. CD has been diagnosed in 3 generations of our family and was probably what my grandmother had; she'd been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Check out Dr. C. Robert Dahl's article, "Celiac Disease: The Great Mimic Presentation,"
